Hearing Assistance

St. Gabriel offers two hearing assistance options to help parishioners participate more fully in Mass.

The first option is to request a hearing assistance device from an usher when you arrive. An usher will be happy to provide the device and show you how to use it during Mass.

The second option is available for parishioners with compatible wireless hearing aids. Using your smartphone and the ListenWIFI app, the Mass audio can be streamed directly to your phone and then into your hearing aids.

We encourage parishioners who may benefit from hearing assistance to use either option so they can more clearly hear the prayers, readings, homily, and music at Mass. To use the wireless hearing aids option, please follow these steps:

• Connect your phone to the St. Gabriel Guest Network Wi-Fi.
• Enter the password: Zip85331
• Open the ListenWIFI app on your phone.
• Wait a few moments while the app connects.
• When St. Gabriel’s appears, select the available channel.
• Tap Mass Audio.
• The Mass audio should now stream through your phone. If your hearing aids are paired to your phone, the sound should play through your hearing aids.
• Adjust the volume using your phone or hearing aid controls.
• If it does not connect, make sure you are on the St. Gabriel Guest Network, then close and reopen the app.
• For a seamless experience, parishioners may want to download the ListenWIFI app and pair their hearing aids with their phone before arriving for Mass.
