Mass Captain & Sacristan

Mass Captains

Mass Captains are responsible for coordinating a full team of
Liturgical Ministers to serve at each Mass. The captain coordinates any special instructions or requests with the presider, deacon, and ushers. They set the credence table with the vessels used during the Mass celebration. Mass Captains sign up to “Captain” particular Masses that include weekend, daily, holy days, marriage, and funerals. A Mass Captain must be commissioned as an Extraordinary Minister.

Sacristans

This ministry serves on Monday morning after daily Mass by
cleaning the Sacristy from the previous week and preparing for
Masses to be celebrated during the coming week. A proper host count is part of this service.

All volunteers must complete the Safe Environment Training (SET) requirements through the Diocese. For more information on these requirements, please contact Deb Vinci at set@stgacc.org or in the parish office at 480-595-0883.
